Terms
The short version: it's free apart from an optional scan pass, it records rather than pays, and we do our best.
Who runs Apiece
Apiece is run by Jay McCormack in Brisbane. For help, or anything on this page, email j@jaym.cc.
What it costs
Apiece is free. Reading receipts and screenshots for you is free 10 times a month; after that, a scan pass gives you up to 150 more over 45 days. It is bought in the App Store or Google Play at the price shown there, doesn't renew, and refunds go through Apple or Google.
If anything else ever costs money, you'll be told well before, and nothing will be charged unless you agree to it.
What it does and doesn't do
Apiece records what people add and works out who owes whom. It doesn't move money: paying each other happens outside Apiece, in your bank or however you choose.
We do our best to keep it running and the figures right, but it is provided as it is. Check an amount before you pay it. As far as the law allows, we aren't responsible for losses from using Apiece. Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Using it fairly
You need to be 13 or older to have an account.
You're responsible for what you add. Only add people you actually share costs with, and don't use Apiece to harass anyone. Keep your email account secure, because it is how you sign in.
An account used to misuse Apiece can be suspended. You can stop using it whenever you like.
Changes
If these terms or the privacy statement change, the page and its date are updated.
